New Mode Idea : Wasteland Merchant

Hi everyone!

SO this is just an idea to make the game a bit different, and maybe make it into a future update or even new FO game-

Wasteland Merchant Mode!

Basically i like how the Fallout universe lets us craft a character to our own ideas, not forced in to templates, to survive the often brutal and unforgiving wasteland..You don't always have to deal with every situation by going in guns blazing...

i say, why not take it a bit further for those who would like a bit of a change every now and then?

The Devs could inplement a currency system so that a player could choose to become an actual merchant! You could buy your own building like in Allout 3 and decorate however you like, then NPC's would need to come to you to buy stuff, instead of you coming to them!

You could either sit around there and deal with people for some funny interactions and witty writing showing the quirky denizens of the wastes, or hire someone to watch the store while you go out to barter and trade..

missions could be created having you guard your brahmin pack as it travels, or missions involving buying and selling stuff with sometimes shady sources,a nd travelling all around the wastelnd if you want to be mobile selling stuff to survive.. of course you would have to hire some robots or mercs to accompany you or train a yao gui to follow you..

if anything, you could invest in a store to then receive a percentage of the continued profits if you are not into hanging around the shop..

you would be able to set your own prices, and different areas would have better prices on some goods periodically so you could buy low and sell high, maybe even deal directly with warring factions to supply them...and could deal in espinage also (doublecrossing)

anyway, it's just another way of looking at it, you could still play the normal game, just have that in addition to everything else!

That would be cool, but i think that if there would be too much character customization, the devs couldn't give the character a good title like "the lone wanderer" or "the courier" i can already think of an ending: "War, War never changes. there was once a guy, he was just like any other NPC out there in the wasteland, and... he did stuff. so ends the story of the completely normal guy who did pretty much what everyone else did. oh, and world war III is coming soon. and war? war never changes."
What i'm saying is the character must have some sort of background. even if it's as rushed and seemingly unexpanded like in new vegas.
