Eh? I'm almost certain those shots have anti-aliasing out the wazoo...unless you're referring to Alcoholics Anonymous, in which case, I agree. Disturbing lack of that here.

I am so in love with this game's style... every time I see a new screenshot, I actually can't believe that a game like this will soon be out. My favorite picture has to be the one that Oof named "People!"... the guy on the left looks like the archetypical British gentleman, while the guys on the right essentially remind me of SS officers from the Third Reich. Very creepy bad guys.
And I don't know, I'm really liking this mix of different inspirations, because they apparently make it work. Everything looks consistent even though you can spot all sorts of seemingly incompatible sources.

So I'm very pleased with these screenshots. BUT at the same time they terrify me for one single reason: The graphics aren't very good. Sometimes they remind me of Fallout 3, sometimes they look even older. Low-poly models and blurry textures combined with a lack of high-quality shaders and, as some have pointed out, apparently no Anti-Aliasing.
And this worries me. I could accept those graphics, but the majority of gamers can't. They look at it and say "what is this, it looks like a game from 2004" - which shows that they have no clue what they're talking about, but pointing that out to them won't make them buy the game.

I'd really, really hate for this game to bomb. When Dark Messiah came out it looked better than many other games at that time, including Oblivion. Dishonored currently looks old. I hope they can change that in the next couple of months...

Graphics are the last thing to be focused on. They're usually finalised within the last 10 months of the game's production. Just like the newest screenshots are better than the first, expect later screenshots to look even better (for the PC; for consoles, I think this is as good as it's going to get, probably). They're probably working on particle effects, explosions, etc. at the moment. In the final stretch they'll polish/develop weather, atmosphere, lighting, AA, etc.

Of course, the engine's Unreal 3... (Right? I'm fairly confident that's the case.) How far can they really push it?

It appears they just didn't have much model variety at first. If you look at the new Golden Cat screens every woman looks different. Hopefully everyone looks different, or at least there are enough models that you don't notice the asset reuse. Otherwise, they can just slap a character randomiser in and leave it at that.

If they've got samey models... I'd be disappointed but I'd be okay with that.
