Sorry if these have been posted before, but here you go:

Showing Skyrim to Euro staff and some distr. partners today. Very high praise. Couple folks said they were stunned how good it was. Woot!

and I guess someone asked him if we would see screens before the GI cover

@Daren_P Doubtful. I imagine we will let GI and mags in other countries come out before we release screens. But we will see.

Interesting. I expect it to look magnificent, and I also expected that we will see nothing until the February GI.

We all know that this is going to be a rad game - but there's always that little shred of doubt.

What if the game will be as good as Oblivion or Morrowind, and not better?
I don't know why, but after I read this all doubt has been cleared!

I'm just excited to see something... no matter if it looks great or just good. I doubt I'll be disappointed with that mindset.

Probably a good idea. If I had watched the trailors for TESIV, I would have been SOOOOO pissed that the Dunmer didn't have gravelly voices, and the Radiant AI had been reduced to simple NPC schedules (which even old Gothic 1 implemented), among other retracted features. As it was, I bought the game because I was bored and didn't really walk into it with any hyped expectations other than the standards set by TESIII.

EDIT: I might look at screenies and read the GI article. Maybe see a trailer. Hopefully I'll forget everything by the time the GotY comes out, so I won't be disappointed. :P

Why announce a game now, when you're afraid to show it to the public? How about wait a month or two, THEN announce it with a screen and some info. Stupid Bothesda trying to hype up a dumb screenshot and paragraph of info. No one is going to be blown away by the graphics. Maybe do something like this for the next wave of consoles, but not now.

We won't.

GI is getting the right to reveal the game, which will increase their sales. Bethesda wouldn't show screens before GI got their time in the limelight.

Man what is up with you people ?

I have played every TES since Arena and loved them all, sure some more then others, but never would I use the word disappointment in a one of them, sure I liked Morrowind better then Oblivion in many ways, but never did I see anything to whine about, still playing it in fact occasionally for a change up from fallout3 and falloutNV, but I have logged well over 400 hrs playing it so I dont think disappointment is a description I would use.

I probably remember Daggerfall the most fondly but so what each has had good and bad but all were uber interesting and time consuming in the loving extreme.

I dont want the new one to be like any of them I want it better, but most importantly I want that G*d D*#n new disk TES smell in my house now!
