New vid The World Of Skyrim

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 1:56 am

I remember reading in Gameinformer that Greybeards where living in some caves up on a mountain and stay away from vilagges, because when they talk their voice moves mountains themselves..
Seems like someone over-exaggerated a bit.
Not really, tongues before the third empire were gagged or else had their tongues cut out so as not to cause distruction. Furthermore, greybeards have been known to be 1-man seige engines.

Music at the end of the developer diary.

I KNOW! I've always thought Oblivion were one of Jeremy Soules weaker works, so I'm so stoked after hearing that beautiful piece. He stepped up his game big time for Skyrim.

I might have gone gay for Ulfric Stormcloak. Just a little.

Beautiful...
The music, the voice acting, the beautiful landscape... 3 more days.
That big tree in the video in 1:30 remindes me of Chorrol.

The music in this is some of the best music I have ever heard in my life. Not just in a video game, but ever.

My personal interpretation of the "Skyrim needs the Empire as much as it needs us" line is that Skyrim needs the Empire as much as it (Skyrim) needs us (the Legion). Maybe "It" could refer to the Empire and "us" refer to Skyrim, though.

I know, im seriously excited for the game soundtrack, they have 4 cds!!! that must be a lot of music, this could end in a well deserved award for jeremy as best soundtrack in a game.

Rats. Wasn't able to watch it. For some reason, I've always refused to create a youtube account (every blasted site on the web wants you to register these days) and for some incomprehensible reason this video requires a login to view. What could possibly be in Skyrim footage that warrants a login wall? Doesn't matter, I'll have the game in a mere 60 hours.

Very good voice acting for the most part. I noticed a couple of lines that were weakly delivered. I'm guessing that the main quest voice acting will be quite nice, but the side quests and such will have some staid lines.

Overall, the video definitely left me more excited. Some of the locales just look incredible! I just hope the experience all pulls together.

Oh, that video. Haha, I had just watched it about 20 minutes ago when checking out PCGamer.com. They had a link to it. 59 hours and 45 minutes to go.

I have to say, I am encouraged by the turn the lore is taking. The characters are in the right place...

I would gladly retire from the world, were such a day to dawn.
Which is why we must ACT!

You don't think this is a war already? Sir, I...
Thank you legate. In the future I'll let you know when your opinion is needed.
But what are we supposed to DO?

Skyrim needs the empire as much as it needs us.
"Because there is some good in this world, and it's worth fighting for." -LotR
Even if we ourselves may not survive...

I fight for my people, impoverished to pay the debts of an empire to weak to rule them, yet brands them criminals for wanting to rule themselves.
Awesome line! So, HOW would our rule do more to solve these problems? What is our list of grievances, our specific plan of action? Where are our priorities?

HOW were they too weak? To fall into the trappings of greed? Or is it because with all that we have spent, we are still unable to protect our people, from the real threat of our time... that being, DRAGONS! ;)

I fight, because I must.
Perhaps for our own survival, or the survival of our kind, of humanity, or a better future, and the experience of WHAT survives determining that, when all that is past inevitably fades. Whether the future will be heaven or hell, based on the sort of people left in it, who we manage to save, and the things others are willing to do to get what they want, even if it lowers us all, and more are lost who could have improved us, and why we are so desperate...

Because we are dying as much as any empire... But is that how we would be remembered?
Have we ceased to even care? What becomes of US? Because we ourselves may die?

Khajiit has wares, if you have coin.
Stem cells? Molecular manufacturing? Yeah, we got that.

So, what can i do for you today?
If you earn it from someone else. Along with bread, water, and oxygen.

I have work if you have the backbone.
Sound like you can handle it?
Some jobs are better than others! Respect! ;)

No doubt, the appearance of a Dragonborn at this time is not an accident. Your destiny is surely bound up with the return of the dragons. If you are Dragonborn, then... there is hope after all!
"That happened. We're here."

Great video. Loved the catapult, and the whole atmosphere.

I wish I could make out exactly what the guy at the beginning is saying. I know it's something about "I'd gladly retire from this world--" after that all I hear is "mumble mumble."
