new wave of beta invites tomorrow?

Post » Mon Apr 22, 2013 10:53 pm

So, looking at the past several "Ask Us Anything" responses - those have each come out on a Monday (the last three being on March 25, April 8, April 22) - beta invites were then announced the following Tuesdays (March 26, April 9) - maybe another wave of beta invites will come out tomorrow. (hoping I get one!) :twirl:

I expect that they will send invites out this week. I think they are planning on doing at least 2 beta weekend each month for the first few months. So since this is the last weekend of the month, I expect a beta for it.

interesting is that they haven't really had certain testing events.

i cant agree on the math simply because of this reason here -> every time they do a test thier looking for something and then they perform the work on the results they found and then set up for another beta test. Thus, they are spending an unknown amount of time to fix or ignore results they find. meaning theres no way we could possibly know how long or short it will be to finish corrections or success's on thier testing.

Are you talking about like testing PvP or dungeons?

I think they aren't doing specific tests like that right now, because they probably want to just get general feedback on what the game is like. Things like: How is leveling at the lower levels, Character Creation, Login, Combat mechanics, Animations.

From my experience in various beta tests and alpha tests, its amazing how fast the teams can come up with new builds to test. In fact in the most recent test I was involved in they tested 3 consecutive days in a row for 5 hours each day, and each day there were new patches to download for the next part of the test. I am amazed at how hard developers work when they are in beta and alpha testing stages, in face they must in some cases work practically around the clock to come up with the HUGE patches they post each day...amazing.
