Remember that cinematic trailers mean nothing towards actual gameplay. The game will still basically be the same as the last time you played.

Just for you people to know, these "kung fu pandas'' have been in the warcraft universe since warcraft 3.
Edit: And I play wow for other reasons then gameplay, I love it's lore and atmosphere.

I'm getting it, already have my CE pre-ordered.

WoW isn't my home MMO though, SWTOR is. Still, WoW is fun to play through for the story.

They don't do kung-fu in Warcraft 3 though. They were just big angry guys who swung their claws at you.

I think most people know that, but it doesn't change the fact that they've moved away from a "drunken brawler" motif to more of a "Shaolin monk" theme. And when you add pandas to martial arts, especially in a series which is known for its humor and cartoon-style graphics....you really can't avoid the "Kung Fu Panda" comparison.

More of a monk. Staff & robes, not samurai armor & sword.

Seems reasonably interesting, but I just can't seem to get much inspiration to go back to WoW. (I've been playing since vanilla - generally, I would sign back up a month or two before a new Exp to get ready, and then play a few months past the release to see the new stuff. Didn't end up playing very long in Cataclysm, and was pretty bored when I got one of those "please come back for 7 free days!" things around patch 4.3. Too much of the non-raid PvE content has become "grind this set of a dozen Daily Quests for two months for a prize!")

Doesn't help that it's coming out a week after Borderlands 2 (a game I'm looking forward to much more strongly than I thought I would - release faster, dammit!)

Yeah, I got a scroll of resurrection in April and accepted it(instant level 80 for any character, month of playtime and free Cata? Thats a damn good deal!), so I ran with the game for a good 3 months or so. I had fun, but once I hit level 85, geared up a bit and got a mount or two I wanted I realized the non-raid content was pretty much exactly the same as in WotLK. I know MoP is supposed to add a bit more solo content, but the Pokemon-style mini-game and literal farming is kinda too little too late for me.

I quit again once Gw2's release date was announced(only 8 more days left!).

^

You can have the prettiest freaking trailer out there, something that rivals anything known to humanity. However, it don't mean jack monkey squat *cookie to who gets that reference* since trailers like that only show the concept and not actual gameplay footage. Friend pushed me to play WoW and broke down after he got me the original game + burning crusade. Bought the rest myself and regretted the decision since the game wasn't that great. Only thing that I even remotely liked was the pvp system having large scale battles.

And then they made some random Kung-Fu guy out of nowhere.

They still don't look Asian, only the hero that came with The Frozen Throne.

So what I'm saying is they don't look like they were going to be Kung-Fu Panda at first.

Looks interesting, but I only have Burning Crusade and a level 10, and I can't afford the 3 expansions at the moment nor the time dedicated, with GW 2 right around the corner. Though it makes me want to play WoW again. It is a cool place, I just can't manage as many MMO's as I would be playing if I started it up again.
