A New You Achievement

Post » Wed Nov 21, 2012 10:55 am

I haven't actually bought Dawnguard yet, but i saw this achievement called 'A New You' when i was browsing through my 360 Skyrim achievements. It said that you could unlock it by changing your face, so i just wanted to know what the level of customization is it, can you make yourself look like a completely new character? can you remove warpaint, change skin color, body type and change hair/color, because if you can i may just buy Dawnguard for that reason, I've lost count how many times i've started a new character because his eye color wasn't correct or his nose was too goofy, hey what can i say, i'm picky?

I haven't tried it because she won't do Vampires, but I think it's just similar to the face customisation options you get when you start the game. You wouldn't be able to change your race, but certainly things like skin colour and warpaint would probably be options. Since PC players have always had access to this with console commands, it's cool they've added it for the 360 (and maybe PS3 if they ever get Dawnguard).

Does using it reset a lot of the sliders like it does when you use showracemenu command in the console? That's always bothered me when all I want to do is maybe add a scar (from adventuring) and I have to re-set a dozen other sliders.

To answer the ops question you can only change your face features, you can change hair, you can add war paint, remove scars and whatnot but you can't change race or gender.

edit: Leburns it does not reset sliders only time it will is when you change the slider that gives you a random face. Forgot it was called though preset I think. So if you don't change that than you will be fine.

I want the face change too but basically to change only my hair. But as a vampire I am barred from the clinic. I'll have to take the cure, get the face job, and then go see Serana and ask her to bite me again. I wonder how the Volkihar will view me being their Master and all, but temporarily an ordinary cleanskin Nord?

Best to take her with me to see Falion, then the plastic surgeon. Serana can bite me again before we return to the Keep. Yep, should be do-able.

Oh they just tell you have serana turn you back to a vampire until then they don't want to be seen talking to you. Then thats really pretty much what happens.
