Newbie has basic problems

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 5:12 am

I am having a problem: when I first get in the game, my hands are bound, and nobody unbinds them, seems stupid. But that is not the problem.

I get the first task to go to the Keep, and hit J for journal and M to put it on the map. How do I get out of that screen? How do I exit the map?

I've tried everything I can think of, and even stumbled into the macro command line, but have had to kill the game twice so far.

I'm sure it is just me.

Thanks, I will make sure I try that. So far, the game is great, no problem downloading from Steam. The UI is abysmal though, for a PC user.

edit: another quick question, how do I abort the cutscenes?

You can exit (almost) every screen by tapping tabulator.

Your hands are unbound by whichever NPC you run with: the Imperial officer or the Stormcloak. They will run to the keep's door and go in; you just follow. I didn't mark it on the map. You can look at the compass at the top of the screen to see where the NPC is that you need to follow.

Seems odd. Here are my friends, all standing around with axes, and I can't get my hands unbound? Weird.
