IDK if you guys seen that but this is some info about DX11 coming to Crysis 2

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-03-30-crysis-2-dx11-fix-in-2-3-months-report

Hopefully Crytech will say something soon to confirm this. Its at least nice to know the reason why DX11 wasn't ready for release now.

Stop spreading rumors! I haven't seen a DX11 thread all day and now it's gonna start up again.

This is super late and untrue. Check your sources before you post!

Unless it comes from CryTek themselves, it's just a rumor.

Perhaps, but what will biching and moaning do to change the situation? Either we buy their games, or we don't... It's very simple.

I do not pirate games, if I see a game I want to play or one I have anticipated, I buy it... Developers work hard to give us games. It's the publishing companies that I don't trust, personally.

BTW: I was really looking forward to Dragon Age II (also EA game), and I thought the demo was horrible. I didn't buy the game, nor download it. I do not like it...

Crysis 2 is a B+ at best, but it's still fun... So what if it's stripped down? The graphics are still awesome, the gameplay is what matters.

Yeah but most rumors come from some type of truth, just seeing what you guys though about this. I'm just glad to here a reason why DX11 wasn't ready for release though. I hope at least that's true.

And relax yourself, this was just from yesterday and I am not checking this whole forum to see if someone else posted it for this one simple thing. That's why I said "IDK if you guys seen this but....". READ!

If Crytek had any plans for dx11, they'd announce them at this point I think. What would be the point in keeping mum and letting rumours and speculation fly? Either we aren't getting it, or they haven't decided yet.

Crysis 2 is a B+ at best, but it's still fun... So what if it's stripped down? The graphics are still awesome, the gameplay is what matters.

Gameplay is a given at this point. Gameplay in FPS's is generally a standard formula, and it ain't hard to get right. But Graphics and Gameplay aren't the only measures of a good game. Crysis 2 has sh!t for enemy A.I. (I can't even count how many times I've watched a Cell soldier clipping into a wall while I walk right up and shoot him in the head). Also, Crytek copped out on their original story and re-shaped it to fit a console friendly game-world (the level design of which is mediocre at best, what with indestructible environments and that damned Nano-suit spoon-feeding you every single encounter WITH NO WAY TO TURN IT OFF). As for Graphics... load up Warhead and max it out, then tell me Crysis 2 has "awesome" graphics. They're good. Merely good. Not awesome, not outstanding in any way except perhaps the lighting.

B+ if it wasn't the sequel to Crysis. Failure to live up to its pedigree knocks it down to a B- for me. You're right though, it's still a fun game for what it is.

Yeah, I still think Crysis 1 is still the better game over Crysis 2. I at least we didn't get something completely horrible though but it just shows how consoles really effect how good a game can and its sad. I remember when they use to literally have a different game on the consoles from the PC version. Like with Far Cry 1, like the PC version was the best the PC could handle and Console version was the best it could handle and thats the way it should be.
