I figured this board could use a tidbits section for news that doesn't need its own thread, but is interesting nonetheless.

For starters, Geoff Keighley posted this on an AMA recently:

It's been obvious for a long time that news (especially gaming news) is rapidly moving into crowdsource territory, so I don't really see the issue. The news outlets have all been getting a huge portion of their leads from Twitter for years.
