My Next Build: Captain America

Post » Thu Aug 02, 2012 1:40 am

I am going to try my hardest to make a Captain America character in Skyrim on my next playthrough.

If you're wondering "How are you going to do that?"... well I can't really make a Cap character in the game cause it is nigh impossible.

But I will be doing this:

-Imperial (or Nord) character with similar hair and facial structure as Stevere Rogers (may base it on Chris Evans).
-Using a Shield-Fist combo, preferably rounded shields.
-Use either no armor, or Light Armor (I'll need to do some search'n'surfin to see which would be best).

If anyone has any suggestions or tips or ideas, please tell me.

I'd like to see people try Hawkeye (Light Armor with Bow), Thor (2H Hammer with lightning magic), and maybe even Iron Man (heavy armor with magic)!

Sounds awesome. It also sounds like it would be hard to kill people though.

Steve Rogers would definitely be a Nord. He's definitely of the Nordic racial class and not Mediterranean.

Yeah, I also figured Nord would be best, but I was kind of one the fence about it.

I am disappointed after finding others have already done this. :(

It would also appear as if Heavy Armor would be best, as that way I can get the perk that increases unarmed damage.

Maybe I should beat the hell out of Gian the Fist to get his gloves as well...

It's odd you should mention this; I just recently watched Captain America for the first time (I don't get around to things for a while...)

During the film, after his transformation, I kept thinking, "Wow, it's Dovahkiin. I wonder if I could build something akin to this in the game."

My answer was then and is now, "Maybe, but it wouldn't be easy. You'd have to make allowances for the game's mechanics." If you could actually develop skill in Unarmed or Brawling, I'd go for it, but you can't. Also, Capt. America wasn't above using pistols and any firearm he could get his hands on, as well as explosives. His shield work is legendary, so you'd have to develop that rather quickly. Maybe then go with a blunt, one-handed weapon in conjunction with the shield. "Captain Skyrim" would rock.
