I loaded up my character for the first time since Dragonborn today, wanting to check out the new patch and to sort out the books in my bookshelf. Well, when I entered my house in Windhelm, I couldn't help but have a smile on my face. I custom decorated all of it, and while I was never able to finish decorating the house because some items never seem to stay put properly, looking over what I did decorate filled me with pride. I walked into the kitchen and saw a roasted ox head burning on the fire, face up, like it was screaming. I put it there as a joke and forgot about it, but it cracked me up. I then went upstairs and saw a picnic basket I placed on the table, filled with a potion of blood, a chunk of human flesh and two hearts. Yogi would be in for quite a surprise.

I really wish they would fix the housing mechanics, because I imagine I'd be able to have a whole lot of fun if things worked properly. Originally, I wanted to have my jeweley sitting in one of the empty bookshelves that you aren't allowed to put books in, but no matter what, they kept moving several inches each time I entered and exited the home. Even the drop, leave, re-enter and move trick didn't work. Oh well. I'm still happy with how things turned out. Hjerim is a great home - I like it even better than the Hearthfire houses, and it's plenty big enough for a family. Upstairs is practically empty, except for the husky.
