Night's Watch

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 6:46 am

I was thinking about creating a character that is "based" on the Night's Watch from A Song Of Ice And Fire. The idea would be to patrol The Pale and help and protect the citizens from the dangers and help in Misc local quests. I wasn't too sure as to what armour I should use, possibly the Thieves Guild or Nightingale. Which would work quite nicely as the Night's Watch recruit thieves anyway. This was the build I was thinking but any ideas anyone else has would be welcomed, I'm not really sure on the best build.

Race: ?
Skills: One Handed - Block - Archery - Light Armour - Smithing - Restoration

Think you got it nailed with the gear and skills, I can't think of anything else without using mods. Perhaps alchemy also if your out in the wilderness for a long time, live off the land etc.

I was thinking either Alchemy or Restoration, I like using Alchemy for poisons on bows but I thought Restoration would more useful for turning Undead and Magical Wards. I didn't want to over encumber on skills so I dropped Alchemy.

Sounds good. I'd swap Sneak for Smithing. And don't get married.

I think I'll stay with Smithing for the reason Sneak with Archery becomes quite powerful and I'm only gonna smith Steel weapons.

And don't get married.

No just trips to the local brothel.

Nice setup. Definitely stick with Leather, Thieves Guild, or Nightingale armor.

I would drop smithing. The guys who defend the wall don't smith. They have smiths do it for them.

I would pick up sneaking. The rangers that scout north of the wall need to be quick, agile, and be able to stay out of sight.

1H Sword + Shield is a must.

My problem is I don't want to use sneak as it does become a bit over powered and when I use it, it's always the first skill I max out. I would like to use a different skill but I don't know what so I chose Smithing. I may drop it for Alchemy.
