---------------------------------------
This mod increases the number of enemy spawns as to allow more difficult combat scenarios.
The additional spawning is done entirely via scripting. It primarily operates by copying existing enemies spawns to form squads - for example, squads of archers, squads of warriors, squads of crabs or wolves, etc. Due to leveled lists this does not mean multiple identical enemies, there are variations in race, gender and equipment, but the basic type remains the same.
Enemies are spawned in update passes between 10 and 40 seconds apart. Because of this, the number of enemies slowly builds up over time. Wiping out a dungeon in short time will prevent many extra enemies spawning. However, hanging about will allow more and more enemies to spawn until the limit is reached and you get your face pounded in by an avalanche of bandits or spiders etc.
Additionally, enemies must be out of players line of sight and more than about 20 feet away to be duplicated or re-spawned. This means enemies always spawn in another room or behind you - so watch your back.
The Alteration spell "Nightmare: Select Difficulty" can be cast to select between four difficulty modes:
-Normal: Vanilla Skyrim. No additional spawns.
-Hurt me plenty: 1 enemy spawned per pass, max 30 enemies per cell transition
-Ultra-violence: 2 enemies spawned per pass, max 60 enemies per cell transition
-Nightmare: 3 enemies spawned per pass, max 90 enemies per cell transition and dead enemies respawn.
The default difficulty is Ultra-Violence.
The difficulty can be changed at any time. It will not remove existing enemies but any future update passes will follow the newly selected difficulty mode.
Only random encounter enemy types will be duplicated or respawned. Nightmare can cause a bit of lag while spawning the enemies if you have a slower PC. This will not spawn any additional Dawnguard enemies.
