This seems very strange. Does the Big N fear next gen? Do they not want to be left behind?

They just released their nextgen console?

When was the last time Nintendo was ahead of the curve? 1999?

Pretty sure WiiU was their next gen.

Sounds good to me. Don't see why a massive press event is needed. The WiiU is already out, all we need now is some system seller titles (both first and third party). Hopefully that's what we'll see.

Sounds more like Ninty's recognised E3 for the turd of a convention that it is and have sensibly decided to showcase their stuff elsewhere.

The Gamcube was actually pretty powerful and came out after the PS2 in 2001. The GBA was also pretty powerful for the time as far as handhelds go. Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories actually had about 3 fairly good quality CG scenes on a GBA game cartridge. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLNII0qFVMQ

Hasn't Nintendo been pretty open about their releases as of late with that new fangled toy them lawn kids call Nintendo Direct? Pretty sure they said it has information of new Nintendo tapes.

Seems strange that out of all years, they're not taking the stage this year with the PS4 right around the corner. They better bring it with some amazing games. Wii U is a disappointment right now.

Which is also the same reason neither Sony nor Microsoft waited/are waiting for E3.

E3 is no longer the place to announce things like it used to be. It's been a shell of its former self for years now.
