noclip for the pc

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 4:27 am

Has anyone figured out how to enable noclip - or whatever its called - in the PC version? I know the console command is 'noclip' on the x360 and I already found G_DebugPlayer and set is 1.
The Cvar description for G_debugPlayer specifically mentions noclip. Is there a debug menu or something that I am totally missing? I have beat the game and I really want to mess around and go places i'm not supposed to now.....

What.. Xbox 360 gets console with noclip... that's just unfair. How do you activate console on Xbox?

I tried messing with debug player too. I find the old Rage (before the patch) lets you modify 'locked' cvars by using the cvarAdd command. (The patch locked this workaround)

I've been messing around for ages and still can't get noclip to work. Damn one way invisible walls, all thats stopping me from getting the last card I accidentally left behind in Dead City.

I don't suppose there is a trainer available with noclip?

For the 360 you have to create a CFG file and bind noclip to a button. I am pretty sure you have to have jtagged xbox to do it as well.

I am using the pre-patched exe as well. I tried turning off gravity but I can't change the G_Gravity cvar even using cvarAdd..... o.0 wtf id? Y U NO LET ME CHEATS!

That is so messed up.. so it is perfectly fine to cheat on Xbox where Microsoft usually requires stuff to be locked down, but it is not OK to cheat on PC which is generally free to be messed with.

you have to be running a modded xbox - but the point remains. Its nuts that those commands are just...gone on the PC - even though they are specifically referenced by cVars. They have to be turned on/enabled once the x64 exe's get released since id studio would be useless without them. Ill just shelf the game for now. Hopefully we get x64 version soon since Tim said the editor would ship with the game. I am cool with waiting for tool, so long as the community was not told the tools would be shipping with the game... :(
