Nords and armors lorewise

Hello,

Inspired by : "Who also preffers crappy armor and weapons" thread in general discussion forum ,this is not a continuation of that one but a remix of it.

Id like to talk about each race and armor it fits best and focus on looks not armor stats.

For example:

Nord - Ancient Nord armor (sword and board type)
Orc - Orcish armor (berserker)
Redguard - Scimitars with cowl and hammerfell clothes

and so on...

My level 36 Nord Dragonborn warrior is wearing Ebony Armor (+11 health), Ebony Gauntlets (+25% one hand dmg), Plate Boots (Stamina Increase 50) and as weapons im dual wielding the Pale Blade and an Ebony Axe but I would really like to wear the Nordic Armor because it fits my Nord Dragonborn the best ,however I would lose alot of stats and health.

I play on Master dificulty and I think I would be 2 shotted if I would downgrade my weapon and armor.

Is there any lore regarding each type of armor in the game?

Nords tend to use no armor and no clothes at all if combined with witches.

So, are you or are you not worried about stats? You say the focus is looks, but you immediatly list your armors stats, and your concern about being dominated (due to stat loss).

So which do you want? looks or stats? If you are that worried, then smith the nordic up to par with ebony, and you are good to go, problem solved.

I don't use the ancient Nord armors because I play female characters mostly and hate fur bikinis. So I use iron, steel, fur, hide, and Dawnguard armors. The Immersive Armors mod adds some playability to lower-tier armors that is very nice.

As for other races, Dunmer are the only ones I can stomach putting in glass armor. They're badass enough to carry it off. My orc wore orcish armor as soon as I could get her into it.

Steel, hide, studded and scale all seem to be Nordic armors, while the leather and steel plate seem to be more Imperial--though I may be off with the steel plate. Could it be Breton?

The Ancient Nordic armor and the Wolf armor also seem to be Nordic, though with special design features.

I'm not sure about Ebony, though. It doesn't seem to be elven, particularly: the glass and elven armors--as well as the dwarven--are there for that and share some design similarities. Is it meant to be an "evil" armor? Maybe a vampiric style?

I've seen nothing for Khajit or Argonians, though.
