Reminds me when I was a little Pokemon fan, seeing commercials about special events (IRL and in-game) for Pokemon but then the ad mentions it is all in N.Y. Boy was I a sad little 7-year old

I do believe the events were get togethers and events to put 'special' Pokemon into your game. Not sure if they do that anymore (Despite my avatar, I am not a faithful follower of Pokemon anymore, so apologies if I sounded silly )
