1.7 not being released in Europe best thing ever

Post » Mon Aug 27, 2012 4:30 pm

It looks like to me(might be wrong) that Europe Sony have tested the patch and (if the performance issues arising from this patch are true) have decided that the ps3 has had enough bad performance from this game and the current patch works better, don't forget a patches purpose is to improve and add stuff not add stuff and degrade performance. So they sent it back and want a patch that works properly. Anyone agree

Erm... thought this was getting released today unless you know something the rest of us are unaware of?

The conversation about it failing cert and therefore taking longer to get over the pond from the US has been done... Not sure where you're going with this?

If the patch isnt ready then it can't be released, just wonder what will happen next because rest of the world will get a 1.71 patch while USA keep the 1.7?

If it does arrive in the EU today it'll have been altered just enough to pass cert, don't expect it to be dramatically better.

Well if they pass it with minute improvements then they may as well have passed it already. I hope they gonna keep failing it unless it really does work.

Unless they've been sneaky and it's the same patch globally so folk in the US could try deleting (as you put it) the 1.7 patch in the hope it's the 1.71?

Sorry just in from night shift so if that sentence doesnt scan very well my apologies.

Yes, I agree a final definitive patch would be marvelous but I believe that's beyond the wit of Beth. Given past experience.

True, but they have gotten my game to a playable level, yes frame is not brilliant and pop in I've gotten used to. But to release a patch that brings back problems I would prob not play the game again and sell it.

Maybe someone could start a compare and contrast thread for the Europeans?

I'm off to bed.

Let's use http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1405964-17-europe-2/ to talk about the european release of the patch.
