NOT DLC related but will there be more patches?

I have not started to play Skyrim yet due to the obvious issues. I want to fully enjoy the game and Platinum it.

My question, that I would love GStaff to answer, is this:

Are they working on future patches to fix bugs?

I'm not talking about getting Dawnguard to work on the PS3 or Heathfire...I am not interested in that yet since I have not played the main game yet.

But are they developing patch 1.8, 1.9 etc to fix bugs in the main game? Or are they simply concentrating on DLC issues with Sony...

The answer to that question determines if I sell my copy or not...

I'm a little concerned that they haven't said anything about even considering working on a patch.

In my mind, they're done and they are pulling the plug. After all, if you've tried something seven times and you still can't get it right, maybe it's time to try something else. The definition of insanity would be trying the same thing and expecting different results, so there's a couple examples here:

-Repeatedly attempting to patch a game and failing consistently.

-Repeatedly purchasing a Bethesda game and expecting a high level of quality control and/or worthwhile end-user support.

I think what bothers me the most is that they aren't even man/woman/person enough to admit their mistakes and admit they can't fix it. They just sit and keep their mouths shut, hoping we'll go away.
