Not enough in depth dialogue in Skyrim?

Perhaps it's just me, but does the dialogue seem skimped in Skyrim? Much more akin to something you'd find in a Fallout game.

Yes, there could have been more "immersive" dialogue. I hate when you first encounter Aela and crew, you say "Can I join you", thats not bad, but it sounds so lame.

Dialogue in Skyrim is better than in Oblivion. Not so much Morrowind, but that's a given since it's all voiced now. NPC dialogue is pretty good compared to many games.

PC dialogue is pretty bad, but at least it's not "rumers","[city]", "directions".

I don't know what you mean about Fallout though. Every game save Tactics and (maybe) 3 has superior dialogue to most TES games (in my opinion of course). New Vegas currently holds the record for most voiced dialog in any game.

Except for the occasional moment, they haven't really done in-depth dialog since Morrowind.

It used to be paragraphs for a conversation, but since Oblivion it's just a few sentences.

The problems of voice-acting.

Paarnuax and Ulfric can get pretty deep at times, along with Master Neloth and Serana.

Many people say the dialogue is better than Oblivions, but I think the opposite.. Yes in Skyrim NPCs spoke of more lore pieces.. But there was a total disregard for individual's emotion, feelings, personalities, and preferences which made the characters seem flat.. Cicero I believe was the greatest character ingame, followed by Rikke and General Tullius (But without Rikke, Tullius would be a bad character and without Tullius, Rikke would be a bad character)..

Oblivion's characters weren't much better than Skyrim's, but I felt like they had some feeling..
