Not Gaining Any Experience

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 11:05 pm

Kills, disarms, etc are showing how much experience I am getting, but the indicator on the bar is not moving. Is it just a graphic bug and I will level-up eventually or am I actually still capped at 30? Any insight? Thanks.

Did you get the message that said Level Cap raised by 5? After you activated Dead Money in the data files it should have poped up when you loaded you game.
-Also, check your pipboy and see you XP stats.

Yeah, I got the pop-up. I'm in Sierra Madre right now and have done the first three quests. Experience indicator is still on the the far left of the bar.

Edit: It is changing in the Pip-Boy, but it's at 8,000 out of 71,000. That can't be right.

That sounds right for level 30 or 31. It takes a lot of XP to level up.

That sounds about right, early on when the game out, (when there was no patches) There was a bug for me when the game stopped adding Xp, and I had to restart my character,
even later in the game when i was about lvl 21 it stopped adding xp and I had to restart again (Before any of the patches)

I am on Console ... just to be clear!! :) That happens all the time, I level up, I gain xp, but that slider seldom moves... what a crappy glitch! For me it's a lot of fun to see it move... It's like a growing erection...
