Not got my copie...

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 2:39 am

Hey, I Pre-Ordered Skyrim from Amazon last month, and today, I got home, and no Skyrim through the door.

I asked Amazon where it might be and they just flogged me off.

Do you think it will come tomorrow... or next week?

Join the club, buddy. A lot of people who used Amazon have yet to get their copies, even with the more expensive shipping options.

If you live in the UK and you chose first class or expedited, you will most likely get it tomorrow as Royal Mail operates on saturdays. If you got free shipping, it might be longer.

The morale of this story is that Amazon are just terrible.

Which deliver option did you use and what country are you in?

Join the club. <_<

A lot of people haven't got their copies from Amazon today, there's been a few threads about it.

Hopefully it comes tomorrow.

I heard that Amazon made a mistake and sent themso they would be delivered the 12th or something. Depending on who's delivering it, you might end up having to wait till Monday

Same here. I'm going for a steam download. Will just send the Amazon copy back.

I'd advise doing the same (or buying from a store) if you can since Sat post is usually quite late in the day and at the end of the day if Amazon can't figure out that people pre-order to get it on day 1 they don't deserve the sale.

I suppose the plus side is that steam won't be overloaded tomorrow as long as my delivery comes early.

I'm in the same boat as you.

I also pre-ordered battlefield 3 from amazon last month, its release day was on a Friday, they dispatched it on the Thursday, and it didnt arrive till Saturday.
So i'm hoping for the same with Skyrim.

edit: that was with first class delivery selected

Still a good chance of getting it tomorrow. In fact, some people who used the free shipping got it today. (I know, it makes no sense)
You'll get it on monday by the latest. If you can't wait, like me, buy it somewhere else and send Amazon their copy back.

I used the Super Saver option and Amazon says I won't get it until the 17th (Next Thursday), so you're not alone

Not really, this is the first time I've ever had something not arrive when Amazon said it would. I still think they're very good.

Where can you find out the date it's been changed to?

I preordered it from Gamestop the first day that you could pre-orde it. Apparently it's en route to my house from Kentucky a the moment.

I live in Connecticut.

Of course, different customers have different experiences. I'm not trying to generalise the entire company, I'm just rather pissed off (as you can all probably tell).

They actually did this with ME2 to me, which is why i'm not too happy at the moment. If it gets here tomorrow morning, I'll still be a bit annoyed but i'll consider it no harm done.

If you log into your Amazon account and go onto Orders, it should show up there. You might have to use the drop-down menu to change the settings to show orders made in 2011 if you didn't order it withing the last month.

Thing with Amazon - in the UK at least - is that most of their storage is on Jersey I believe for tax reasons, sometimes things just come a day later . This time yesterday I ordered a new Xbox from Amazon and got it at 11 am to-day so they're running high in my books.

I pre-ordered the game online from Gamestop, but indicated a pick up at store option & just went to the midnight release. From my experience I'll probably do this for the rest of my highly anticipated pre-orders.

The only thing I'm waiting on now is the CE guide from Gamestop, which UPS claims should be in by 3pm - 5pm.

Yep, I have to wait until Monday for my copy to ship. Can't really complain, since I bought the game from Newegg with a 20% off discount.

I pre-ordered my Skyrim CE in August and selected release date delivery. It arrived this morning at 9:46 a.m. I'm very happy with Amazon. So far, they've always delivered when they said they would.
