Not much of a challenge

Does anyone else around here feel as if Dishonored wasn't much of a challenge?

It's a great game and has very interesting aspects to it, but it wasn't much of a challenge. In comparison to all of Bethesda's other video games, Dishonored is simply a trial and error one. I literally breezed through this game with very little effort. The most thinking this game took was deciding how I would kill/knock someone out. It truly was a game for the creative and efficient (creative kills take mana!).

I love the game, but does anyone else feel like it was a bit too much of a breeze?

Most of Bethesda's other video games like Fallout and Skyrim offer a decent challenge even when on easy difficulty, Dishonored offers close to none. Am I doing something wrong? How did you make the game more of a challenge, or at the very least feel like less of a "go do this without any effort, Corvo" playthrough?

It was hard enough on the highest setting. Not every game is about pure difficulty. Of course, you'll always have gamers claim that games aren't hardcoe enough. If you want hard games, play games known for that. Play SSF4 online and tell me it's not hard enough. Or Hard Reset, or TW2 arena mode, or the original Ghost and Goblins, Contra, Megaman, Bionic Commando. More recently you have the Souls series and Hot Line Miami. Have fun.

Skyrim (the little bit of it I played, about to level 30 and a bit beyond) was incredibly easy. Most of Fallout 3 (bar a few parts) was pretty easy.

Dishonored was easy enough once you got powers that pretty much made you invincible (stop time, rat swarms of doom), but it still required you to at least think on your feet, contrasting with the 'every challenge is essentially the same' of Fallout and Skyrim.

Shouldn't really compare this to other Bethesda games anyway, since they only publish it, and don't develop it.
