Me not really devoted fan

Post » Fri Sep 27, 2013 7:48 pm

As stated, I decided I'll go and buy Skyrim and see if I cant pick up on some of what ya all talking about.

Doubt I will become a really devoted fan, but it should bring me closer to TESO, lore wise and such I Think..

I will update my thoughts about it all in this thread, thoughts that are in some way associated with TESO.

//Cheers!

EDIT: F A N B O Y not allowed? LOL

If you want to learn more about Elder Lore you should atleast start at morrowind, better at arena.

Word of warning, the game paints a bad picture of the Altmer (High Elves) and makes many think that all Altmer are evil, which is simply not true. Also, the Aldmeri Dominion (one of the factions in ESO) was reformed forcibly by an Extremist Altmer political party, The Thalmor after they took control of the Summerset Isles and then preceded to Try and Take control of all of tamriel so they can do lore related stuff and basically unmake the world. The Aldmeri Dominion in ESO was not forced, or a takeover, it was willing cooperation between the Bosmer (wood elves), Khajiit (cat people), and Altmer. The Altmer in general, in both times, are arrogant to be sure at least to some extent (they ARE the oldest race on Tamriel), but most Altmer are not bad people.

Also, Good luck, and watch out for Tigers and Bears.

I would indeed start with Skyrim, if you like that you could play Oblivion which is even better imo :-D
At least if you tweak it with graphic mods etc!

Don't give up too soon though, it's definately a different kind of game and stands pretty much alone in its genre I feel.

Goodluck my friend, have a good journey.

If and when you reach the point, I highly recomend the dragonborn dlc content. While it's debateable whether or not the expansion is worth 20 bucks in terms of content amount; the visuals and aesthetic design to the two new introduced regions made it worth my money.

If you reach the point of being comfy with modding, http://skyrim.nexusmods.com//? is the best place to go.

I run 60+ mods and the script extender. Modding the experience I wanted from the game has added an incredible amount of value to the game. I've easily dumped 1000 hours into this game thanks to such small things as adding real time and complex weather and lighting effects.

As such I highly recommend Project Realities Climate mod series, Falskarr, Bandolier, and many other fine mods from skyrim nexus!!! (*jazz hands*)
