Not really a spoiler I guess...

Last evening I completed the Temple of Miraak. I was holding off finding the temple because I thought that would be the end of the MQ.

It wasn't and I had a blast. With Frea, and my two followers: Aela and Serana, it was a party. I am on an xbox, so I will take advantage of anything I can! I thought halfway through - GEE - I can also summon.... So I did a Dremor Lord, then later, a permanent Storm Thrall. Five of us... Not bad - I don't have the twins souls perk... Darn!

My only gripe was the accidental vamp glitch that Serana can impart to you. I was hoping it would have been fixed. I had to save often, as I would wind up a vamp werewolf. In my past experience, I could not cure myself when this glitch occurs, so I keep checking my stats after every fight!

But I loved this quest. DB is really shaping up. I want to head back to the Mainland though for a bit of R&R - will that effect anything on Solshein?

lovin' the DLC!

Kudos big time to Bethesda on this!!

Serana is a bit buggy, there are a few of opportunities at which you can take both her and another NPC as your followers.

So, is it possible, in any way, shape, or form, to get Mjoll and Serana at the same time?

Yeah - possibly I guess... What happens I believe, if you have a follower when you free her, it seems you are allowed two. I even switched out Aela for Lydia, since poor Lydia sits alone at home in Breezehome, and she has actually gotten better as a follower - not as snarky!

You can only preform this action up until you take Serana back to her castle then after that she will only ride with u solo. Also if you are a member of the assassins guild Circero will also tag along with u and 1 other follower. I think that there are a few more NPCs that do this but I cant remember exactly who they are right off hand.

There are some glitched followers (Serana, Cicero and the Dark Brotherhood initiates) that you can have along another follower any time.

Just have a regular follower and keep one of the glitched very close (for example in Volkihar castle). Dismiss your regular follower and rehire him/her, now very quickly ask one of the glitched to come with you and they will accept. They will function as a fully complete follower (same options, opinions, etc.), the good thing is that they don't count towards the follower limit so you can swap the non-glitched for another one as if the glitched weren't with you.

If you want another one more of the glitched followers, just rinse and repeat and you can have up to 5 functional followers.

Well I may have to disagree - unless I misunderstand. I have been exploiting this well after DG. I have even parted ways with Serana, and still bet my twofer....

If you cure her, then the deal is off. So sadly (for me) she is staying a vamp.

Jarn3 - I'm not sure I follow this. If I have a regular follower, I cannot pick up another.... But Serana let's me have one.

Let's say that you have Lydia as a follower and you want a DB initiate to follow you. You have to go with Lydia to the sanctuary and then get close to your target follower. Dismiss Lydia and rehire her, just as she is saying her line get out of the conversation and ask the DB Initiate to come with you and if you have been fast enough, both Lydya and the DBI will follow you.

What you are saying about Serana I think it is because she has to follow you as part of a quest.

The method I've written lets you have her along another follower (and along Cicero and two DBI if you wanted) even after the Dawnguard MQ.

That sounds good for fun purposes, but... can you imagine going through a Barrow with all of those followers? Talk about lack of situational awareness! Haha.

The biggest problem is computational power, if you're on XBOX360 adding followers may make your game to lag. For me, with a character with a savefile of 15MB, two followers (Eola and Serana) causes no noticeable lag even though they summon/resurrect (albeit temporarily) but when I resurrected a Dead thrall (in the end works as a third follower) the game started lagging.

Another problem is what you said, lack of space and it's even worse for mage builds because at least two of the exploitable followers use hand-to-hand combat and using destruction magic that expodes is not the best of the ideas.

If you want to exploit the system, counting full followers, mission followers, dead thralls, staffs of summoning, pets and mission followers that can summon (Esbern, for example) you could have more or less about 20 persons/creatures fighting for you.

I have Cicero, two initiates, mjoll, serana, the blades chic and her old man caster from the main quest a reikling and 2 permanent summons. I think there's another you can add in with DB but haven't tried it yet. I remember there's somebody that follows you. The intitiates, mjoll, serana, and the blades guys are all unkillable.
