I got ED-E first then talked to the old lady, which did trigger the first Enclave recording. She told me to go to HELIOS. I've seen people say that the scientist there is the guy who triggers the 2nd Enclave recording. I talked to him for a while and nothing triggered ED-E. Is that actually where I'm supposed to go?

Also after talking to the old lady at the scrapyard, and the first recording triggered, I was given no more markers on my map involving the quest. It didn't check off the objective saying "ED-E appears to have some Enclave log data stored that is triggered by some keywords" although he already shared that log data with me. Is this a bug?

I've been searching google but no one has really pinpointed the exact same issue I'm having.

Also I'm sure that there are other threads on here similar in nature to my own, if not the same, but before you yell at me, I did use the search function and got no results for "ED-E"

Talk to the eggheads at Camp McCarran after dealing with HELIOS. That's what triggered the second recording for me and the next event won't be far (~2 game days) behind.

I just got ED-E and mission "ED-E my love" and I can't even initiate dialogue for the quest with old lady Gibson. The only options it gives me are "Show me what you have for sale.", "I need something repaired.", and "Goodbye."
What am I supposed to do?

That's a bug that's completely different than the problem I was having. It happens if you've spoken to the lady at the scrapyard previous to fixing the robot and bringing him up there.

you're just out of luck on that one until they patch it again.

the second recording for me got triggered at camp forlorn hope, you just need to find an npc that says the word helios and that triggers it, so anywhere you can find a person who mentions or gives a quest for helios that should trigger it.
