Notepad++ syntax highlighting from the video?

Post » Sun Jun 17, 2012 3:36 pm

For those who don't know, the video they released showing off the CK and some of it's various windows also showed dark-themed papyrus syntax highlighting in notepad++.

Unless I'm missing something, the one we can get on http://www.creationkit.com/Notepad%2B%2B_Setup is standard white. Has this dark one been released?

Edit: Incase some one hasn't seen it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EU4oAKZE1VI&feature=player_embedded#t=58s

I think that's a change in the theme of Notepad++, rather than having something to do with the highlighter itself. The initial version on the wiki was light as well.

Also, once you've installed the highlighter, you can customise its colour scheme in Notepad++ easily with the User Defined Language dialogue.

Well, you actually have two different sections for notepad++ as far as highlighting goes, there is a style configuration thing you can use to choose between several different presets which cover the languages built in; Then you have the user-defined one.

You can change the preset to a darker color, and it will mix with the user-defined colors, but the colors in the one released are designed for a light-colored theme so you will have to manually fix them.

Was hoping to avoid having to manually fix it, that's all. It's not a big deal if I have to, though.

Ah, fair enough. If you do make those manual changes, it wouldn't be a bad idea to mention it in the Notepad++ Setup talk page on the wiki. Once the syntax highlighting file seems to have settled down, it might be sensible to offer a "dark" themed version as well. Or beforehand, as I don't expect it would be particularly difficult to maintain both.

I was considering it, if I have the time. It should just be required to be stuck up on the wiki, no real maintinence unless the language changes or there are bugs.

btw, ty for the reply :)
