So just as the title says, I have found that I am much more effective with the Novice destruction spells than the Apprentice (haven't gotten anything past Apprentice yet).

For reference, I am a level 20 Dark Elf specializing in one handed weapons and destruction magic (a Battlemage basically). So the apprentice level ice spell is freaking sweet, but i feel it doesn't do that much damage for the magic it is running through (and I did do the half magic perk already). I do a TON more damage just streaming flames or sparks from my hand than shooting fireballs/lightning bolts/icicles one at a time.

So....am I doing it wrong? Or are the Novice spells just better?
