>Be in Europe ( Belgium ) >Buy Skyrim because of holiday its released now. >Get Home. >Put DVD in Bluray Drive. >Steam says "game isnt release yet ( Cancel Setup )"
ps. : i can post some pics for those who dont believe i have the game already
Just thinking, with all of these idiotic stores selling the game, whats the point of a midnight release at all?
well there wasnt going to be any mid night release where i live because you know, everyone is playing CoD 4 that released few days ago. also that every store is closed on 11-11-11 and we had to wait till monday so we can buy the game. thats why they are selling it earlier.
It has EVERYTHING to do with DRM, as it's Steam's DRM (i.e. the activation scheme) that's preventing him from installing and playing the game.
Edit: Yes, authentication by content provider or publisher = DRM.
Shut up who cares, Steam = GOOD. It gets people to buy the game out of anticipation than download it. Those that download games would most likely not buy the game in the first place.
Steam itself is the DRM. Encryption of the files is to prevent users to be able to use the product before launch. It also prevents it from being hacked before release.

I didn't say it was bad, I said it was DRM. It's what it is.
