So now that werewolves are in...

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 12:39 am

I can't think of one Fantasy trope this game hasn't covered. It seems complete now. This is probably the ulitmate fantasy game....like, what aspect of conventional, modern, high fantasy is it lacking?

Unicorns are probably not in....Goblins are on the fence...and I'd figure at least one Minotaur to be in Labirynthian....but other than that, what is Skyrim missing?

Pixies, fairies, fauns and nymphs. Perhaps skyrim is too cold for nymphs.

SKyrim's werewolves are almost exactly the same as Daggerfall werewolves, (minus once a month forced transformation, even though we know there is at least one force transformation in Skyrim) and are much much closer to the original lycanthrope legends than any moon transformation werewolves we see today.

You should preface it with "Shapeshifting and not a modern take on lycanthropy"

There was a unicorn in Oblivion. It was awesome. I doubt there won't be one in skyrim.

This persons attitude is crap.

I don't understand how you can be sooooo butthurt over such a tiny detail. Last time I checked just because you call something a werewolf doesn't mean you have to make it like every Hollywood movie around.

I don't get what is so hard for people to accept that if they want it this way that is how it is. There is no if and or but.

Just accept it for what it is and that it is great. Seriously too many people that think of how things CAN be and just can't take what they have and enjoy it.

Granted thinking of how things can be is great in some regard but it's nice to enjoy things once in a while.

Take dragons for example you don't see people complaining about how they are totally different than what you would think of a dragon. They speak a ancient language that gives life to a special magic like pushing [censored] around or freezing things or even slowing down town in real time.

Just because it's different doesn't change what it is. This is a fantasy game and anything is a go.

I don't think there's a war of the gods anywhere in the lore. TES VI ought to be about a war between the gods, and you have to choose which side to fight on, and you become their champion, so you get special powers based on whose champion you are, and you have to wage war against the champion of the other side.
