Saw 2 mammoths and a giant. Decided to try my luck/skills with the 2 mammoths and leave the giant alone. 10 minutes later, mammoths were dead and giant couldn't find me anymore. I thought i was fine... Then i heard something... Checked my back to see if it came from there. Didn't see anything. Then i saw it... 2 huge shadows on the ground...

Now i'm here walking around with the giant, waiting for those dragons to attack. Since i'm archer i wouldn't stand a chance against 2 dragons so hopefully this giant can help me out if those are going to attack.

See? This game is cinamatically EPIC. I keep running into scenarios that remind me of Indiana Jones, specifically in Raiders when he pulls his gun to take out the crazy sword guy. Or really anytime he got really frustrated because more [censored] just hit the fan.

If you're near a town, make sure you've got some restore stamina potions handy and haul ass. Don't stop until you get there; the guards will help you.

Okay the other one landed and the giant took it out in no time. I think this one was a randomly spawned dragon. The other one though, is still flying around. I have one of those dragon head icons in the compass so i think it's guarding that place or something. It keeps flying between me and that one mountain.

I'm level 20 with 100 sneak and 52 archer. It's not so easy to take out dragons :S


I went to that mountain and the dragon instantly attacked me. It's a blood dragon and killed me in like 4 seconds.

Swift moves and dirty tricks makes it a bit easier. Blood dragon in somewhat open area is hard to kill tho.

Bethesda set it up so that you could still kill a dragon with ranged attacks. There will be moments when the dragon flies up into the air and sometimes hovers over the ground instead of landing. Those are your best times to strike. Just kite it until it does these things, using the sprint ability (the Alt button on the PC) and always carry plenty of potions (which you need for dragons anyway). Good luck!

After 3 deaths, the blood dragon is finally dead. On the 4th time i was fighting i changed unrelenting force to sprint and instead of trying to make it stop attacking i used the shout to avoid it's attacks. Made it much easier. Had to use lots of healing potions tho. 23 minor healing potions and 11 normal ones.

I've finally killed my first blood dragon Has been hardest fight in the game so far, since i had to kill it like a man and stay close to it instead of running behind rocks to avoid dragon's breath.

Congrats! I killed mine a few levels earlier, it attacked while I was in the Winterhold Wizards guild, all I had to do was hide behind the pillars and it couldn't get to me!
