I am going through the vampire side of the quest and I can walk around towns and go into Jarl halls as a stage 4 vampire and not be worried about being attacked. Yet when I go to Whiterun and to Dragonsreach I take one step through the door and all the NPCs inside attack me on sight. It only happens in that one place I have no mods that would cause this to happen so was wondering what was going on?

Anyone else have this happen I thought being a vampire lord did away with the attack on sight from NPCs.

I have the issue with riverwood and get no bounty or anything.

It's just random for me though. Sometimes it doesn't happen.

And they're yelling, VAMPIRE BURN IT!!!

But I can't take that as, they're attacking me for being a vampire. Why? Cause when a dragon is breathing fire on them, they yell, VAMPIRE BURN IT!!!

Ya, if you're stage four, even when you aren't getting attacked, NPCs still refer to every enemy as a vampire. I had a hunter call an elk a vampire once. As for your problem, try feeding.

actually I feed constantly and look human pretty much, but they always call everything a vampire for whatever reason

But if Dawnguard is active and you are a vampire lord then stage 4 should not turn NPC's hostile I have been to many places and many Jarl holds at stage 4 and no one has attacked me until I went to Whiterun and Jarl Balgruff and his court attacked me on sight. All the merchants will trade with me as well at Stage 4, so something is not right.

As I said, try feeding. If they still attack, it's not due to vampirism.

It sounds like the bounty bug where you have a bounty that doesn't show up and you cannot yield and deal with it in a conventional way. It probably has nothing to do with whether or not you're a Vampire. There are some fixes you can use, but you might try what I've read in some other threads: Go to the hold and steal some small item in front of a guard. Then surrender and deal with the arrest/bounty as you would normally. If all of the guards in Whiterun are hostile to you, try finding a solitary guard out patrolling on the road near Honningbrew or something and punch him in the face. Or maybe punch a chicken in front of him. Save first in case you don't get a good result.

If it happens again I will try what you suggest, it just struck me as odd it only happened in the Jarls courtroom and none of the guards outside even looked at me twice. I had to kill some high profile character though in Whiterun and so payed a bounty for that so it may of gotten rid of the glitch.
