In Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Skyrim certain NPC's were tagged as essential so that they could not be killed.
Other NPC's that can be killed are killed then they don't come back.
I know that it's not the same developer behind TESO, but I'm still curious as to how people want it to be like.
For example, if I want to be an assassin then it really gets on my nerve if I can't kill certain NPC's.
So I want to be able to kill a major quest giver, he is not going to be easy to kill, but I want to be able to kill him.
How should they handle this?
Avoid being able to kill any NPC's at all?
Respawn? If so, how long?
Personally, I want everything to be killable, but I want things to respawn after 1 hour.
If it [censored]s things up for other players then so be it, limitating my choice in who I can kill is bad design, RPG-wise, IMO.
