This is a small problem if you can call it that, i mainly wanted to know if anybody else has had it happen to them. I will leave my house for a bit and come back when I enter my Steward or Bard will say "Are you lost?" or "Can i help you" or "Your not supposed to be in here" Its a tad odd considering i built the freaking house your cozy in!

It's a bug. Just put it down to the NPC sniffing some vapors from the weird old bottle in the basemant and seeing things. The NPC will never react based on those utterances.

Yep, this happens in Proudspire Manor as well, if I recall? Been that way since the game's release I think, and apparently carried over to the Hearthfire houses. Just gotta ignore it.
