I went through the creationkit.com dialogue tutorial, went over it numerous times, checked out other quest dialogue in other games and I don't understand why this happens.


In more detail:
I gave an actor a Topic: "Who are you?"
The NPC should answer "I am Deckard Cain the Lore Master."

But it just skips that part and no subtitles and no sound and it just skips back to the menu.
I have recorded a few seconds of silence and I even banged my mic once and pressed preview to make sure that my mic was indeed recording.

None of my dialogue works unless I record actual dialogue. Silence doesn't work for me...at all...even if the silence shows bumps in the line so that there is actual noise in the silence. It makes no sense (but the CK is full of weird bugs), and it's a pita because it means I'll be recording all of my lines twice, but you might try it. Record the line and see if your dialogue works. I tried for two days to get my dialogue working and finally recorded something and it worked no problem.

It's just that the subtitles still don't show. I can hear my voice though and it doesn't skip.

EDIT: Silly mistake by me. Dialogue subtitles was turned off in-game. Thanks again!
