NPCs seem to think I am naked, help please!

Post » Tue May 29, 2012 8:38 pm

I have a problem where npcs in the game will make comments about how I should be wearing clothes or the like. I am wearing Nightingale armor and it shows up on my inventory screen as being worn. I have every piece on and have tried other armor but npcs still react as though I am running around town with nothing on. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Thank you for your reply.

I don't believe so, I have selectively turned on/off every mod I have to rule it out. Very odd and I hope I can lock this down with the aid of a member here whom may know what is causing this.

I did try that and my character is wearing armor, it also shows up under my inventory that I am wearing armor. I did a little experiment, I have Tytanis's Ultimate Mod where the Nightingale Armor I am wearing I crafted myself. I disabled the mod and relaunched the game which obviously resulted in me standing there naked. I believe the game is not "seeing" the crafted armor with regards to npcs, even though it shows up in my inventory and in 3rd person. I really enjoy Tytanis and hope there is a workaround to this problem but if need be I will simply have to disable it until I find a solution. Again, thank you for the fast and mature replies. The forums here are truly incredible and full of helpful people, not the norm that is for sure. If anyone has an idea or is familiar with this mod and what may be causing me woes, please lend me your advice. Happy gaming all.

My assumption: The Item ID of the craftable armour is probably set to something that is not recognized as armour, hence you can wear it but the NPC's don't recognize it.
Solution: The mod creator would have to fix it.
