There really hasn't been any sort of conformation or any bits of proof, so we'll just have to wait and see. However, with the age we live in today, all my money is going on B2P.
That explains why you don't have enough left over for the sub
I see what you did there and I agree with you.
If ESO goes B2P we would probably get 3-5 char slots max, and you would have to pay for more. That's one of many reasons why I cross my fingers for P2P. No P2W cash shop for ESO, please.
Eso will have a sub otherwhise they would have announced the model long ago B2P and F2P brings players even when it means the game will be bad.
i would say 4 because we have 4 classes .But it could also be 9 because 1 for every race.
My guess is 6, with limit of having 2 chars per alliance.
And it will be monthly sub model.
I hope you're not being serious. MMORPGs just don't give that many characters away. You ever played one?
They usually give 6 or 8. Less than that is seen as being stingy. Never really see more than that.
WoW lets you make characters on a different server, but it's like 10 or so per server. But that game is an outlier for AAA MMOs, probably because it's so old. TESO is one server, so most likely will be (as above) the standard 6 or 8.
Yes, if they do it like let's say SWTOR. You only get 2 char slots and limited races available with a F2P account. If you want to try all classes/races you will be forced to pay for char slots, and that is P2W as it puts you at an advantage compared to people who doesn't purchase them.
The same way, purchasing backpack space and such can also be considdered P2W IMO.
The only kind of cash shop that is not P2W is the kind that only offer cosmetic fluff that does not affect the actual gameplay in any way.
In my opinion ESO should have minimum 9 (one for each race) char slots if it (as I assume it will) launches on the P2P model.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not against them giving us infinite character slots to play with. Just being realistic here.
