Nvidia Surround Screen Tearing

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 10:23 am

Hey everyone, I've been having an issue with screen tearing while V-sync is turned on in the game as well as having it forced on through my nvidia control panel while playing the game in 5760x1080p on 3 monitors.

The issue has been this way since i receive the game on launch but figured once they patch the in game v-sync then it would fix it but it hasn't.

For whatever reason I have a constant tearing at the the top of the middle screen and right screen, the tearing on the main screen happens at about an inch below the top of the screen itself and on the right screen it happens at about 2-3 inches

could this be due to that the game isn't fully optimized or patched for multi-monitor gameplay? As the only time ive seen this issue is when playing Crysis 2 at 1080p but one of the other screens is on at the same time

and my setup is GTX 570 HD 2.5gb in SLI and I7930 @ 2.8ghz on 3 Asus VS248H-P

if anyone can recommend anything for me to try to get this issue rectified please let me know!

thanks!

Try anisotropic filter OFF in nvidia control panel.
AA have it low @ 4.
hope it helps.

I had the same problem with the screen tearing except it was only on my middle screen and not either side screen. It also happened with v-sync forced. I noticed though that it does not happen when in windowed mode and have since been using that as a workaround. Hiding the taskbar gives me close to full screen resolution in windowed mode.

All of a sudden my settings in Control panel (video card) for RAGE are gone and the new Rage.exe seemed to have maintained the brilliant gameplay!

Right click taskbar > click Properties > checkbox Auto-hide the taskbar
