Me, I like to look at pictures of lonely warehouses in the night with a single light on the outside. There are no doors or windows; just a square building and a cold garage door. The only light comes from your vehicle and the warehouse. You, your car, the warehouse, and the night are the only things in the world right now. The warehouse is normally surrounded by lots of gravel. Its very surreal. This is probably a result of the two and a half hour trips I took to my father's house every other weekend as a child; the trip always took us through a lot of remote places in the mountains, and I can remember everyone of those warehouses.

Aside from that, I like to look at pictures from the year I was born, the year after, and four years before. Its very neat to look at something you know you were there for, yet can't remember, and to see things that came into existence shortly before you.

Lastly, I like not-so-old but still out dated technology, especially if it has knobs and wood paneling. Things like http://a1.ec-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/92/5af88fe0b93d41a580627b9d5ef9c48e/l.jpg television set. This kind of stuff also relates to the above paragraph, as this type of technology was commonplace in the year before, during, and after I was born.

I like to wander in the darkness, enjoying the touch of things that are considered mundane. Often I find myself caressing the freezer while laying on the ground, my other hand stroking the cabinets next to it.
I have yet to find another, who would do the same thing.

I like driving in the rain during the night. Just driving alone at a road, passing lonely streelights that are the only thing lighting up what otherwise would be dark. In the background i can hear some 80s rock songs or something on the radio. I feel at peace. This feeling is intesified if I pass some abandoned warehouses, old railroad/signs and industrial areas.

I can't put my finger on it, but there's something special about just that.

Most people are irritated by it, but I find the sound of planes passing overhead somewhat soothing. Living near an airport would be quite fun for me. (at least I think so. I might get sick of too much of it) :P

call me crazy or sadistic if you wish, but I like the feeling of absolute chaos. It is soothing to me. There was a case where a tanker truck exploded and diverted traffic from the interstate all onto the road leading to school, and I was at the bus stop. There were cars backed up, the smell of smoke in the air, news helicopters, traumahawks, and then there was me. I was oddly at ease, even though everything around me was in complete disaster.

I used to live 2 miles from Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora, Colorado. People would complain that the jets were too loud and flew too low.

Every Sunday morning at 6am I'd be woken up by the sounds of jets flying circles around my apartment doing drills and what-not. I'd grab my coffee and sit out on my balcony to watch them. I liked it. Everyone else around me hated it.

I've since moved. I'm now in a lake community in New Jersey, For the most part its quiet except on the occasion that the a-hole neighbors throw a party or the summer people are around (which they are starting to come around). I miss the sounds of the fighter jets.
