I found this interesting on the FAQ:
"Will progress I make in The Elder Scrolls Online beta carry over into the live game?


At this time, we do not have an answer to this question. As soon as we do, we will make sure to update this FAQ."

I'm very surprised that this is even being considered.

Could just be there way of not wanting to say no.

Well they may have plans of open beta players being able to keep their characters to play afterward. This may be part of their Beta Testers "Rewards".

"Are there any special rewards available for beta participants?"

We do have plans to reward The Elder Scrolls Online beta testers for participating. We'll reveal additional details in the coming months.

Open bet characters are usually allowed if the game is opened up to everyone, but if they are still selective in the open beta phase, then it would be far too unfair to start a game where half the population is already crowning an emperor.

But if it's truly "OPEN" beta, for everyone (sign up>download>play), then it would be fair to be allowed to keep characters.

Agreed but anyone in the open beta still count as a Beta Participant if I am correct.
