In this quest, I found the tomb, but all I found is a Staff of Calm and the quest won't progress any further. Does anybody know of a solution?

Edit: reloaded a previous save and tried again. It appears that if the ash spawn's that is nearby uses a fireball spell that hits the sarcophagus, it must blow the into the nearby water or something.
