Old KoRn and New KoRn

I'm a huge fan of the "old KoRn" as it's called. It brilliantly merges rap, funk, and metal together seamlessly into a bold, innovative style, much unlike the new KoRn which, in my opinion has strayed away from there "nu-metal" stigma into something simply mainstream.

The old KoRn was crude, vitriolic, cathartic, angst-driven music. There was nothing like it back in 1994, and it remained that way, even with the rise of other nu-metal bands, until Untouchables. The album signified a major shift in their style. While KoRn's first four albums were unlike each other. They were KoRn. They had that sound. You know you were listening to a KoRn song from the very first few seconds.

Today, I can't even tell if it's KoRn or Disturbed I'm listening to most of the time, and it's not as though Disturbed as completely copied their style. They have their own style, but KoRn has changed. Change can be good sometimes, but other times it can prove to be disastrous. They're still making their millions, but as a fan since their first album, I have seen all their changes, and I don't like the direction at all.
