Post » Thu Aug 02, 2012 3:58 pm

So far, these are the top-ten contenders for gold medals.

#1 China with 17 Gold Medals

#2 USA with 12 Gold Medals

#3 ROK with 6 Gold Medals

#4 France with 5 gold medals

#5 DPRK with 4 Gold Medals

#6 Germany with 3 gold medals (they have 13 medals overall, thus they are above Kazakhstan and Italy)

#7 Italy with 3 Gold medals (9 overall)

#8 Kazakhstan with 3 gold medals (impressively, all three are gold)

#9 Japan with 2 gold medals

And # 10 - Russia with 2 gold medals, however they have 11 medals overall compared to Japan's 17.

Interesting Top-ten so far.

Anyone thought any of these guys (besides China and USA) would get to where they're at?

Weren't the US and China tied for total medals at one point? What are their totals now?

Edit: Looked it up, China has 30 and the US has 29.

pretty much China and US are very competitive, though seems China has been more or less ontop for the moment.
