Omg Dedi's are what this game needs.

Played Battlefield Bad Company on PC round a Friends last Week and asked how he was getting so good connections? as soon as he said it was because of dedicated servers I instantly thought all platforms should have them. If you havn't experienced online with dedicated servers, think of it as playing online with single player connections, thats the only way i could explain it.

This game Just demands dedicated servers, I mean come on we've got a 12 player cap and still we have bad connections, Dedi servers would fix the main problem of this game which is Lag. I reckon we would maybe have to keep the 12 player count but dedi servers are definately the Future, Crytek said themselves they have to have to step up they're game quick to compete with the giants.

Releasing Dedicated servers on their First, truly decent quality Crysis game on the consoles would be a step in the right direction for the reputaion of their company. As it stands the company hasn't got that great of a reputation with the console guys, this is the first impression on the consoles, and its not good. BUT, it can be saved.

Instead of being "That game that just svcked online", It could be " that game that turned out to be awesome ".

You know what we ask for Crytek, it's your call on weather you Reckon the Possibilities and potential of the Console Market are worth putting the effort in for.

Dedicated servers would be game saving.

However, EA and Crytek have made their money, so why would they spend more to make sure that the people who have already handed over their hard earned cash have a good time?

Bad Company 2 on Xbox has dedicated servers and its a joy to play, but it had them from day one...

P2P is cheap and cheerful (And nasty).... Why spend money on a server when someone with a 1MB connection can attempt to host a 12 player game, spanning 3 continents (Thanks to the host selection)?

The likelyhood of people buying their next game if the Games online was high quality will be High, If their previous game svcked then their next game wont sell that great and will lose money in the future.

You can make more money with 3 Decent Games over a period of years than you can with one bad game.

Consumers aren't stupid, they probably won't buy the next game if the previous game was a bad experience, I mean I wouldn't, would you? As it stands I won't be buying Crysis 3.

Yeah I agree mate, I just cant see EA/Crytek introducing dedicated servers into this.

I cannot think of a single MP game that started out as P2P and then switched to Dedicated Servers because of user complaints (Justifiable) over the incredibley bad netcode/host selection.

With no regional filter it makes me shudder to think of how many continents all the players in a game are coming. From all the various differences in lag and latency, hence why MP doesn't make sense half the time.

No, I mean, for example, Gears 2 is p2p... The complaints about the lag changed nothing in Gears 2... its still p2p.

Gears 3 may be dedicated... I hope it is, I wanted to play gears 2 but found it unplayable at best.

Crysis 3 may get dedicated servers... Crysis 2 wont IMO.

Its a shame, because there is a tactical and deep online FPS buried beneath the lag.

Yeah I see where your coming from, But we as console gamers dont really complain that much, I mean constructive complaints in comparisent to the PC community.

The PC threaten lives for Dedicated servers and they get what they want, but us console gamers just accept whatevers going most of the time.

It's really too bad, I thought for sure this game would be server based, as it's an EA game. I got so tired of losing gunfights in MW2 and BLOPS because the other guy had a better connection than me. It takes all the fun out of it- it's like 'he who has better connection shall win', not the better player.

Crysis 3 can have all the dedicated servers in the world, if they don't fix this one I certainly won't be buying the next release from Crytek, even if they convince Richard Morgan to come back and write the script....

EPIC actually changed to servers in Gears 2, the game is now severed online and runs a hell of alot better.

not completley true gears of war 2 is p2p. they did secretly test out dedicated servers on gears 2 as part of the planning for gears 3. they then took those servers off line and gears2 went back too p2p. weather or not they later made them permanent you'll have too ask epic but it's very much doubtfull. btw even when those test servers were up not every game played was on one. it was completley random weather or not you landed in one.

We Need it and Seriously Dedicated Servers is the WAY 2 Go if U want to Provide EVERY MP Gamer with an Equal Experience Online. Futhermore with a GOOD Protection System there is LESS Chance for MODD3D Xbox B!TCHEZ to ruin the game - Easier to Trace IP, BAN, Reset Stats etc:)

Dedicated Servers are the way to go. P2P ONLY Provides an Advantage to the Host and there little friendz which live near them.
Futhermore Dedicated Servers SHOULD HAVE a Regional Server Selection OR Direct You To The Nearest Dedicated Server BASED UPON YOUR LOCATION.

Examples of CONSOLE Dedicated Servers which Work - BF-BC2 Directs U to the Nearest Server based Upon your location - I Traced Servers and Found them in the U.K, Varified it on my PS3 ( Yez I have C2 on 360). KZ3 Allows U NOT ONLY to Select the Regional Server by selecting YOUR Location BUT Also Directs U to the NEAREST Server based Upon your Location - I Traced Servers and Found them in the U.K.
Homefront, Even if it has problems due to the lack of a patch which should direct players to the nearest server like BC2, will most probably be the Next game Up in line with Console Dedicated Servers ONCE they release the latest Patch.

And console gamers wonder why we call them retards when they say "PC gamers just a bunch of whiners! enjoy the game". Because we whine to keep important features like dedicated servers part of the game.

Console gamers? PC Gamers?

Mate, I was a 'PC Gamer' for years... From Quake through to Half Life 2. After that it become too epensive for me, so I went to consoles.

I have never counted my self as PC or Console... Just a gamer.

i wasnt referring to u specifically, i was referring to retarded console gamers who do say that stuff (and trust me, there are a ton of them)

as a gamer, i feel bad for console players because they really could be getting a lot more out of their money if games were done like they should be. but instead they are happy with the mediocre games they get, and think its awesome.

This assumes that console games are somehow inferiour to PC games, which simply isnt the case.

Maybe back in the day, when consoles were very underpowered, but not now.

PC gaming is dying because of the people who play PC games.
