Once you go Orc...

you never go back...

or at least that's how I'm feeling lately. Have had Skyrim since last November, so almost a year now... have played sporadically as work and family allow, so no huge grinding sessions or anything like that for me. Typically played the stealth archer type, with variations, but it always comes down to that.

Well, just recently, did a restart with an Orc. Pretty much pure warrior, both 2H and sword&board, heavy armor, smith, block, you know the typical. But he does use the bow and some stealth, typically for the first shot of a battle, then it's up close and personal. Wow, it's the first time in all of my restarts that I've actually enjoyed the early game... Bleak Falls, Whiterun, etc. Granted, I'm still early on with him, but I'm just enjoying the whole thing. He's already a Companion (early quests), will likely go to the DB later on. I've never done DB and I look at him as the classic 80s D&D half orc fighter/assassin type... which is just loads of fun.

Plus, I just dig his look with the banded iron armor. Just seems perfect with the big white hand war paint on his face (shades of lotr obviously).

There, that's it... just gushing.. happy to be enjoying the game again with a fresh new "look". Well... new for me anyhow.

Have fun with berserker rage, probably the best racial power in the game.

i play orc in one of my of character. he plays a dual steel axe only (until i can get trusty orcish weopons) , sometimes a shield with a bow on the side and fur armor only...so far it's pretty epic! people say it clunkish but man when he puts my mind to it this guy can move!!! ostrasized from his clan for doing what was needed, he no longer feels at home in the Orc holds yet has no desire to become embroiled with silly human conflicts. he knew the consequences but being the honorable being that he is still made the sacrifice but even though he's not really wanted doesn't mean he doesn't care for his people. this new threat comes and may have to pick a side just so his people can survive. yeah, i'd say Orcs are probably the most least played character. i did it just to see but aside from my Imperial agent he's become one of my favorite characters. and is quickly becoming my favorite back story...
