Although I was sceptical before the release I'm quiete convinced that Skyrim is a good game. Good, but not outstanding....
Positive:
- really stunning graphics and a huge world to explore
- from my POV its overall performance is good
- nice creature design and great architecture
- good soundtrack, although there are tracks from Morrowind included
For more nice things to find I did not have the time yet. But there is also space for critizism.
negative things are
- to much pressure on quests, you're mostly pushed into a new adventure without intention
- bad animations, especially when viewing from the far
- unbalanced difficulty, especially at the beginning (on the one hand bandits and creatures are a normal challenge, on the other dragons and major enemies are too difficult to handle)
- PC controls are not very responsive and various moves are more lucky than intended --> needs to be improved
- stories are a bit lame and not very creative
- the skill menus are aweful
This is what is going on in my mind right now.
Overall I would give Skyrim around 8.5 out of 10 now. it is a good game, this might become slightly better by time but I do not count on it.
