One for the Warriors

Okay so obviously in skyrim there are alot of different ways to fight with alot of different weapons. I want to know what you guys use, one handed, two handed, archery, dual wield etc. Also i would like to know the answer to one of the big questions, heavy or light armour. Speed or protection give me your thoughts. However mages of skyrim, don't worry i will post another for you guys aswell.

As of late, I've started to use light armor a bit more. Mainly Savior's Hide, though. Speed has gained importance in my mind.
In previous TES games I'd always use heavy armor, and in Skyrim its still my favourite. I generally wear Ebony Armor, except on my Orcs, they wear Orcish.
Now, as to weapons: my very-favourite weapon in Skyrim so far(pre Dragonborn DLC) is Mehrunes' Razor. (bit of a leftover fancy from Oblivion's DLC.
But, of course, this doesn't really fit with heavy armor, in that I like the Ebony Battleaxe the best.
I find all daedric/dragonbone weapons very ugly, with the exception of the Dragonbone Greatsword probably.

As for bows, I prefer longbows over crossbows, and my favourite is Zephyr(Dawnguard)

Sword and a shield. Light armor, in some cases heavy but then again often some light armor parts in there as well. Axe instead of sword sometimes. :) I would be a fan of throwing weapons if they were in, but that was a little off-topic.

Bow with dagger/healing spell as a secondary. Light armor because it looks nicer and make more sense RP-wise.

The dagger being mehrunes razor. Best-looking dagger in the game and the Oblivion Gate insignia brings back memories.

Light Armor, always. Protection is enough and loot capacity is better.

Two Handed Swords, because I never remember to use a Shield if I am carrying it, so why leave a hand free?

Dual-wielding light-weight elven armor bastard with a side of conjuring magick. I do wish there was a dark elven variant to the armor, but oh well...

I'm actually not sure what armor type I want to use for the new character I'm planning for Morrowind. I have a mod that balances medium armor to actually be useful, but there are still just so few to choose from. I generally use one handed weapons for groups of enemies or if I need a free hand to hold a light source. If it's a one on one fight, I switch to two handed, usually swords. I sometimes use marksman but not all the time, mostly for sniping cliff racers.

Why don't you use a shield? It offers better protection.

The Orc wears fur and hide while dual wielding a steel war axe and steel dagger. He's rather early on so there have been a few times when I've had to perform a tactical retreat while screaming like a school girl. The bow is an upgraded long bow and I'll pick something else up along the way, but I don't really see this brute going overboard with weapons or armor. Keep it simple, keep it lightweight. I think that is where this guy is headed. We shall see.

Generally heavy armor, sword, shield. I never use power attacks. I always use quick strikes. That said, I also always have advanced smithing/alchemy/enchantment skills in support of that. For specific characters I may use something different (currently I have a nord who uses axes, and I've played a light armor/2h character before), but as a warrior I prefer the heavy armor plus sword & board combination.
