Now that is something i think actually needs modding, i would like some way to be able to parry, maybe even parry with either hand or both at the same time. Im sure we will see something like this in a 'deadly reflex' type mod soon as the CK is out.
I've never got the logic behind them preventing dual wield blocking. I understand the technicalities, but it's counter-logical. Dual wielding in the real world was only ever used by duellists and more extensively in the far East amongst the samurai - why? - Not do deal more punishment more quickly -
but as a way of parrying in a duel. A dual wielding swordsman can more easily parry and block the attacks of a person wielding only a single sword, while simultaneously being able to take advantage of openings in an enemies defence having two hands with which to strike.
Read what i just wrote and now consider Skyrim. Dual wielding is the ONLY mode of attack where parrying/blocking *is entirely impossible*
Derrrrr - this is an oversight equivalent to a modern warfare style game that depicts pistols as being used solely to pistol-whip people and they don't fire bullets like the other guns.
