Skyrim at this time next year, after we've gotten all the DLC and meaningful patches we're going to get, is going to be so wildly different from Skyrim at this time last year that you'd think it was an MMO or something. compare that to Morrowind or Oblivion or Fallout 3, which were all pretty much identical from launch to end-of-life apart from a handful of bugfixes -- here we've gotten mechanical updates and graphical updates in PATCHES ALONE, to say nothing of what we've gotten in Dawnguard and Hearthfire and what we're getting in Dragonborn and beyond.
i have a [censored]ton of grievances i could voice about this game and design decisions made in its development but i could say the same thing about Morrowind or Oblivion or Fallout 3, and i've still put hundreds of hours into all of them. in Skyrim's case, though, there's considerably fewer than i was expecting, and that's something i feel should be applauded.
you've finally kind of done it, and i remain genuinely impressed. belated 8/10. keep it up.
